Compound bow If you could re-write the history books, it would be interesting to ponder the amount of extra damage that Robin Hood could have inflicted on the Sheriff of Nottingham, if only hed been lucky enough to have a compound bow.

They werent actually invented until the 1960s, but its still an interesting concept, although if we are to believe what we read in the history books, Robin Hood was pretty accurate with his traditional long bow and didnt even need the extra accuracy on offer with the compound bow.

Robin Hood, however, so the story goes, didnt need the increased accuracy of a compound bow, as we are led to believe that he seldom missed whatever he was aiming at.
